About the producer
Yolyn and Nick Goldschmidt are owner/vintners, both are originally from New Zealand. In 1990 they settled with their family in Healdsburg, Sonoma. Nick Goldschmidt has been crafting world class wines since 1982 and has extensive experience making wine in Australia, New Zealand, California and South America. He had a tenure of 13 years as winemaker for Sonomas Simi winery, became the Executive Vice Presindent and Chief Winemaker at Allied Domecq and subsequently held the same position for the Beam Estates Wine portfolio. Today Nick and Yolyn produce a growing portfolio of their own labels. The Goldschmidt wine program is designed to showcase single vineyard wines from New Zealand, Australia, and both the Alexander Valley and Napa Valley Oakville appellations. Their goal is to create wines that highlight the distinct characters, benefits and attributes derived from these site specific harvests.
